It looks like I was a little too quick off the mark yesterday when talking about a new Glendon Forest blog. It turns out there are two blogs, the first one I mentioned yesterday, the Super Glendon Forest Rangers, plus another one I found called A Field Guide to Glendon's Carolinian Forest.
I am not sure if it's the same group but the information and pictures are certainly different. While there is some debate as to whether Glendon can be truly classified as a Carolinian Forest, it is certainly nice to see someone taking an interest in the natural history of the Don Valley.

Hello,
I am a member from the "Super Glendon Forest Rangers". I'm glad you liked our blog. Regrettably, there probably won't be much more added as the project is now complete. I may personally still add photographs when the weather is a bit warmer. I still have a great interest in this area and may be investigating it further for a research Essay. I am currently waiting to receive a draft of a Management Plan for Glendon Forest which York paid a private company (schollen and company) to produce.
Sadly, I heard the plan "costs to much" to be put in place.

Hi Kara,
Thanks for getting in touch with me. I created Don Watcher to report on things about the Don and your blog is a great addition. Even though your project has wrapped up, the content will remain. Mark Schollen is well known in the Toronto area for creating natural area management plans. I didn't know he was working in Glendon Forest. Do you know if his report will be publicly available? I would be intersted in taking a look at it.
