Places in the Don
Can you tell me where this is?
This is the start of a semi-regular series of posts. I will post a picture from somewhere in the Don Valley and let you guess where it is. This one should be fairly easy as it is from a distinctive structure.
Yep, easy one. I cycled over that bridge this morning. It crosses the stream (Don tributary?) in Sunnybrook park. The bridge allows pedestrians to exit a parking lot and explore some great walking trails.
To be more specific it is the bridge over the West Don River that connects Sunnybrook Park to Serena Gundy Park. When I was a kid this bridge still a suspension bridge but made of wood and was a lot more bouncy.
I am a member of the Don Council. I was a member of Task Force to Bring Back the Don. I often tour the Don on my bicycle and take photos of whatever interests me.
Have a question about the Don? Send me an email to: donwatcher(at)gmail.com or follow me on Facebook, look for Don Watcher.
